What We Cover
Formal graduation portraits
Individual and small-group formal portraits are the centrepiece of any graduation photography package. We set up a fully-equipped studio on-site — controlled lighting, professional backgrounds, and a team who knows how to put nervous graduates at ease quickly. The result is a portrait every student is genuinely proud of, not an awkward snapshot under a gazebo.
Ceremony coverage
We photograph the graduation ceremony itself: the procession, the certificate presentation, the handshake, the moment of acknowledgement. These candid shots of the ceremony are often the ones families treasure most, capturing the genuine emotion of the day rather than a posed recreation of it.
Group photography
Year group composites, tutor group shots, and whole-school graduation group photographs are all within our scope. We bring the equipment and expertise to handle large groups cleanly — no squinting faces, no cut-off edges, no blurred back rows.
Extended coverage
For schools who want complete coverage of the day, we can also photograph the post-ceremony reception, the dinner, the prom, and informal moments throughout. Aerial video coverage is also available on request for outdoor ceremonies.
Custom Backdrops and Branded Environments
We work with schools to create a graduation photography environment that reflects the school's identity. Custom-printed backdrops featuring the school crest, name, or academic year can be arranged in advance. Posing furniture, props, and branded signage can all be incorporated to create a cohesive, professional look across the entire set of images.
Online Ordering for Parents
All graduation images are hosted on a secure, branded online gallery. Parents receive a direct link and can order prints, canvases, and digital downloads at their leisure — no cash, no envelopes, no hassle for school staff. The school itself incurs no cost for the photography service.
Planning Your Graduation Day Coverage
Good graduation photography requires planning in advance. We recommend contacting SGS Studios at least four weeks before your graduation date, though we will always do our best to accommodate later enquiries if availability allows. We'll arrange a planning call with your events co-ordinator to walk through the day's schedule and agree exactly what needs to be captured and when.
